    Bottleworks District: An Entertainment Mecca

Recently we were in Indianapolis on a Saturday night and discovered the revitalized Bottleworks District. The Bottleworks district is an entertainment mecca! Once, the Coca Cola Bottleworks was the largest bottling plant in the world in the 1920’s. Then, it was owned by the Indianapolis public schools from 1969-2016. Now, this former factory has been reimagined into the Bottleworks district as a hub for entertainment, history, art, and food. It is not to be missed! Located near Mass Ave, you can get there by walking, Bird scooter, Uber, or drive. There is public parking available, the rates vary. Wonderful Winter Trip to Harbor Springs Michigan

Recently we headed up north for a wonderful winter trip to Harbor Springs, Michigan with friends. This year we went a little later in the year than we have in the past, and it was the best snow we have ever had. We went in mid February this year. This is our fourth trip with four other couples, and it is always a really great time with lots of winter activities, delicious food and drinks, games, and most importantly, laughs. It is a long weekend that we look forward to each year. Where to stay: Because we have a group of 10, it is always easier for us to rent…

    Girls Weekend In New Buffalo

Women by nature are always putting others before themselves- families, jobs, etc. Sometimes, though, we ladies need to take a break to pamper ourselves and spend a weekend relaxing with our girlfriends. A few years ago, a group of close friends formed a book club. We meet about every 6 weeks and take turns picking books for the group. It has been a great way to make sure that we get some girl time on the regular, as well as being enlightened by reading books we probably never would have chosen for ourselves. Well, our little book club decided to take it on the road to celebrate a couple of…

Indianapolis, known as the Circle City, has achieved a reputation as a great place to watch championship sporting events. Indy hosted one of the biggest events in sports: Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 when the city established itself as an ideal place to hold such events. Indianapolis is perfect because of its central location and the fact that the city is so walkable. You can park your car and forget about it for the rest of your stay in Indianapolis. In recent years, Indianapolis has held the NCAA men’s and women’s final four, the Big 10 football championship, the men’s and women’s Big 10 basketball championships, and Olympic swimming trials.…

8 Awesome Things to do on Anna Maria Island

Anna Maria Island is a 7 mile long barrier island located between Tampa Bay and Sarasota. Anna Maria Island has remained untouched by chain hotels and restaurants. Anna Maria Island is a perfect vacation spot for all types of vacationers: those that want to just relax on the beach, or those (like me) who like a little adventure! How to get there: You can get to AMI by flying into either Tampa International or Sarasota/Bradenton airport, although Tampa Bay is a little bit further drive. We…

Why You Should Eat in an Igloo

Have you ever wondered what it might be like to grab a few beers and some dinner while being able to look up at the night sky even though it’s the dead of winter? I have! I can’t imagine anything better than looking up at the starry winter sky while snow flakes gently fall all around me- but not on my face or in my beer because I’m protected from the elements by a lovely igloo. When I saw that Goshen Brewing Co. was adding igloos to their seating I knew I should eat in an igloo. About Goshen Brewing Co. Goshen Brewing Co., also well known locally as GBCo.,…
