Bottleworks District: An Entertainment Mecca
Recently we were in Indianapolis on a Saturday night and discovered the revitalized Bottleworks District. The Bottleworks district is an entertainment mecca! Once, the Coca Cola Bottleworks was the largest bottling plant in the world in the 1920’s. Then, it was owned by the Indianapolis public schools from 1969-2016. Now, this former factory has been reimagined into the Bottleworks district as a hub for entertainment, history, art, and food. It is not to be missed! Located near Mass Ave, you can get there by walking, Bird scooter, Uber, or drive. There is public parking available, the rates vary. Recently we headed up north for a wonderful winter trip to Harbor Springs, Michigan with friends. This year we went a little later in the year than we have in the past, and it was the best snow we have ever had. We went in mid February this year. This is our fourth trip with four other couples, and it is always a really great time with lots of winter activities, delicious food and drinks, games, and most importantly, laughs. It is a long weekend that we look forward to each year. Where to stay: Because we have a group of 10, it is always easier for us to rent…

Girls Weekend In New Buffalo
Women by nature are always putting others before themselves- families, jobs, etc. Sometimes, though, we ladies need to take a break to pamper ourselves and spend a weekend relaxing with our girlfriends. A few years ago, a group of close friends formed a book club. We meet about every 6 weeks and take turns picking books for the group. It has been a great way to make sure that we get some girl time on the regular, as well as being enlightened by reading books we probably never would have chosen for ourselves. Well, our little book club decided to take it on the road to celebrate a couple of…

Indy hosted one of the biggest events in sports: Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 when the city established itself as an ideal place to hold such events. In recent years, Indianapolis has held the NCAA men’s and women’s final four, the Big 10 football championship, the men’s and women’s Big 10 basketball championships, and Olympic swimming trials.…
